A well used headrest/stool with a wonderful worn patina to the wood. This style, semi-circular with multiple legs as
supports, is typical of headrests/stools from the Dinka Rek people of southern Sudan. Examples with three or four
legs as supports are most common, this is one of the few that I have come across with more than four legs. The
Dinka Rek people are largely pastoral and a string or rope would have been attached to the knobs on each end to
make this headrest easier to transport by its owner.
