This is a fantastic example of this rare type of axe. It has a wonderfully worn honey-colored patina on the handle, and I especially like how the wood on the top of the axe is curved. It’s an especially nice aesthetic with the rounded blade. The blade has a great surface to it as well. I bought this many years ago, well before I had an interest in African weapons. I was drawn to the simple yet beautiful overall form.
